About the Role:
As a PACU RN at a DirectShifts facility in IN, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive care to adult patients before, during, and after surgery. You will work alongside physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to deliver individualized care plans and promote patient recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, provide wound care, and perform other nursing interventions.
- Monitor vital signs, document patient care thoroughly, and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted New Indiana RN License.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in PACU nursing.
- Strong understanding of adult PACU conditions.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and assessment skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and prioritize tasks efficiently.
