Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with NY License
A well-established Healthcare Group, known for providing top-notch care for their geriatric patients in nursing homes is now seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who has prior experience working as a Psych NP to join their successful and growing team in Brooklyn, NY.
Schedule:
- 2 days per week- potential to increase to full time
- 8 hour shifts
Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Performing physical exams and patient observations
- Perform patients rounds
- Recording patients' medical histories and symptoms
- Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones
- Ordering, administering, and analyzing diagnostic tests
- Diagnosing health issues and sharing it with the physician on call
Requirements:
- PMHNP/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner License in the state of NY
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a practicing Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- Experience working as a Psych NP in a long-term care facility
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with the elderly
- Enrolled in Medicare- preferred
- Outgoing and friendly personality
