Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) | Remote Work | IL

Responsibilities

You will function as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in diagnosing, managing and treating our patients. You will treat conditions appropriate for outpatient treatment that don’t require significant ancillary/social support such as ADHD, depression, and anxiety. 

You will have full time assistance to handle administrative and clinical tasks (prior authorizations, scheduling, obtaining outside records, etc.). The role will be performed over telehealth

Knowledge / Skills

• Should enjoy practicing independently
• Comfortable using an EMR
• Compassionate, caring provider who is non-judgemental toward patients with psychiatric needs
• Comfortable with medication management of psychiatric conditions
• Outstanding interpersonal and problem-resolution skills
• Minimum Qualifications
• Masters or doctorate degree from an accredited nursing school
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program
• At least 2 years of experience as a PMHNP, or will consider 1 year if was 100% outpatient
• Active state license and DEA registration
• Additional state licenses a plus

**In order to qualify for this role you must have or be willing to get a personal DEA license with an address associated with the state in which you will practice**

Preferences

• At least 1 year of outpatient experience
• PMHNP Board Certification

The Role

• Part-Time - 5 hours/week, 10 hours/week, or 20 hours/week commitments
• Monday through Friday work schedule
• No weekends and no on-call
