Radiation Oncologist needed for ongoing locum tenens opportunity

DirectShifts is Seeking a BC/BE Radiation Oncologist to work in to work in Martinsville VA. We work Monday – Thursday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, Friday 7:30 – completion of treatment approximately 1:00 pm (we generally do no simulations, or new starts on Friday) Machine warm-up and QA is from 7:30 am – 8:00 am and treatments begin around 8:00 so the physician would no need to be on site until then. Patient volumes 2018 Consults = 213 2018 Follow-ups = 518 2018 Simulations = 174 2018 Treatment Starts = 152 2018 Average Daily treatments = 16 PPD Common diagnosis Head & Neck, Lung, Breast, & Prostate Equipment 2016 Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator, Varian Aria EMR/R&V, Varian Eclipse. All have full Varian contract service agreements. Support staff, 1 secretary, 1 RN, 3 Radiation Therapists, 1 Medical Dosimetrist, 1 Medical Physicist, Social Worker, and 1 Director also a Radiation Therapist and Certified Medical Dosimetrist. Call is telephone support only, no on call staff, emergencies are referred out for care if needed. Need Providers with minimum 2 weeks per month availability as this is a long term assignment and provider will need to credential with payers.
