Radiology Nurse Practitioner | NY
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Radiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our esteemed radiology team in New York City. In this important role, you will provide specialized care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and high-quality care throughout the imaging process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients prior to imaging procedures, including reviewing medical histories and addressing patient concerns.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Prepare patients for various radiological procedures, including MRI, CT scans, and ultrasound, providing education and support throughout the process.
- Monitor patients during and after procedures, managing any potential complications and ensuring patient safety.
- Administer medications and IV contrast as necessary, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Provide follow-up care, including discussing results with patients and coordinating further treatment or referrals as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in radiology care.
Qualifications:
- Active NP license in the state of NY
- 1 to 2 years of radiology experience (preferred)
- Active DEA
