Job Overview
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We currently have an opening for a per diem Radiology Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate must have daytime availability 7am to 7pm during the week and also be able to work occasional weekends and weekends on call.
Responsibilities
Radiology technologists are medical personnel who perform diagnostic imaging examinations for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This may include fractures, diseases, and abnormalities of patient anatomy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality radiographic image is produced.
• Works closely with radiologists and physicians who interpret images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.
• Responsible for communication and documentation of patient images.
• Maintain communication with patients, parents, and medical personnel.
• Maintains on-going plan for personal growth and self-development.
•Demonstrates professional role requirements related to communication with peers and supervisor and flexibility during unexpected work related events.
Qualifications
Certification and Experience
Certificate Radiologic Technology Required
2 Years Pediatric Orthopedics Preferred
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Required
