Radiology Technologist | NYC
Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic examinations according to radiology protocols
- Educate patients on radiologic procedures and safety protocols
- Assist patients in preparing and positioning for radiologic imaging
- Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Support physicians as needed
- Document patient information in the radiology information system
- Evaluate radiologic images for quality and accuracy
- Provide patients with radiation protection equipment and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards
- Ensure adequate supplies of testing equipment
- Perform radiographic room disinfection and maintain cleanliness of exam areas
- Ensure imaging equipment is in proper working order and report any necessary repairs
- Label images in the radiology information system according to organizational standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a General Radiographer
- Valid license as a radiologic technologist issued by the NYSDOH
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills: 1 year of General Radiographer experience
Education:
- Valid license as a radiologic technologist issued by the NYSDOH required
- BLS certification preferred
Languages: English (Read, Write, Speak)
Certifications & Licenses:
- Radiographer or Radiologic Technologist license required
- Certified ARRT (Local Candidates Only - preference will be given to qualified candidates already certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Opportunity for extension beyond the initial 1 year
