About the Role:
We are searching for a skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technician (RDMS) to join our team at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Elmhurst, Queens. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing diagnostic services using ultrasound technology.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients using high-frequency sound waves to create images of internal organs and tissues.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality.
- Analyze ultrasound images to identify normal and abnormal findings.
- Document examination results and communicate findings to physicians.
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain a sterile and safe examination environment.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in ultrasound technology.
Qualifications:
- Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) (required).
- Minimum 1 year of general ultrasound experience (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to patient care.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $70 - $73 per hour.

- Local candidates only: Training provided for 2 weeks, from 9 am to 5 pm, including the EPIC class. Opportunity for extension beyond the training period.
