About the Role:

We are searching for a skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technician (RDMS) to join our team at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Elmhurst, Queens. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing diagnostic services using ultrasound technology.

Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients using high-frequency sound waves to create images of internal organs and tissues.
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality.
Analyze ultrasound images to identify normal and abnormal findings.
Document examination results and communicate findings to physicians.
Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
Maintain a sterile and safe examination environment.
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in ultrasound technology.

Qualifications:

Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) (required).
Minimum 1 year of general ultrasound experience (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to patient care.

Benefits:

Competitive salary range: $70 - $73 per hour.
Comprehensive benefits package (details to be provided to qualified candidates).
Local candidates only: Training provided for 2 weeks, from 9 am to 5 pm, including the EPIC class. Opportunity for extension beyond the training period.
