Shift : 6:30 AM-5 PM

  • We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Contract Registered Nurse (RN) to join our CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) department as a backfill position. 
  • As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care within our dynamic surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-operative assessments, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure patient readiness for surgery.
  • Assist in surgical procedures by providing sterile instruments, and supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and condition during surgery, promptly addressing any changes or concerns.
  • Administer medications and anesthesia under the guidance of an anesthesiologist.
  • Provide post-operative care, including monitoring recovery, managing pain, and addressing complications.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and adherence to protocols.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments in the field of CVOR nursing.
  • Uphold ethical standards and follow institutional policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in TEXAS.
  • Prior experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
  • Proficiency in maintaining sterile techniques and adhering to infection control practices.
  • Ability to assess patient conditions, prioritize tasks, and make critical decisions.
  • Flexibility to work the specified timing and fulfill the demands of the backfill role.
