Job Description:
- As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry department at our Med Surg Ortho/4th Fl unit in Tamarac, FL, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care.
- The Telemetry RN is responsible for monitoring and interpreting the vital signs of patients with heart conditions and other medical conditions.
- This role involves close collaboration with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, recognizing and reporting any abnormalities.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide compassionate and comprehensive patient care, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
Requirements:
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Florida.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Previous experience in Telemetry or a related department is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound clinical judgments.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN).
- Proven experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in Telemetry or a related field.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
