We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through comprehensive assessments, developing individualized care plans, and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team. Your expertise in clinical skills, patient education, and care coordination will be crucial in ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments, develop plans of care, and implement and evaluate care.
  • Formulate and revise care plans based on patient response and treatment effectiveness.
  • Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs and goals.
  • Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on care and treatments.
  • Facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2 years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN). Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • License and Certifications: Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
