A Chicago-based hospital is actively seeking Registered Nurses with Medical-Surgical experience in Chicago, Illinois.
Specialty: Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical
Physical Setting: Acute care, Inpatient
Standard Shift: Day shift, Night shift
Supplemental Schedule: On-call, Overtime
Employment Type: Contract 13 weeks (Can be extended)
Weekly Schedule:
- 3x12
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
Roles and Responsibilities
- Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum
- Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
- Minimum 1-year experience in MedSurg required
- Registered Nurse with current State of Illinois licensure
- BLS, ACLS
- Maintains current CPR certification
- Crisis Prevention/Intervention Training
