Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Operating Room team in Reno, NV. This role requires hands-on surgical nursing experience, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in maintaining sterile technique, supporting surgical procedures, and collaborating closely with surgeons and the perioperative team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during a variety of operative procedures.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment, including instruments and equipment.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Monitor patient status throughout the perioperative process.
- Anticipate surgical team needs and provide appropriate instruments and supplies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient surgical workflow.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures and patient care.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of recent Operating Room experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (required).
- CNOR certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
