Registered Nurse - Operating Room / Surgery | Redding, CA
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Operating Room / Surgery team in Redding, CA. This role requires strong clinical expertise, the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments, and close collaboration with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining sterile conditions while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operating room procedures.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment, including surgical instruments and equipment.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and condition before, during, and after surgery.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, infection control policies, and clinical protocols.
- Respond promptly and effectively to surgical and medical emergencies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and provide post-operative care support.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room / Surgery RN experience required.
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA preferred).
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
