Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care according to accepted standards of practice.
- Document patient care in medical records.
- Administer medications and treatments, observing patient responses.
- Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with patients, their families, and hospital staff.
- Educate patients and families on health practices and treatment modalities.
- Provide direction and instruction to staff, interpreting patient needs to the care team.
- Maintain current knowledge of healthcare developments and therapeutic measures.
- Attend department in-services and staff development programs.
- Orient and train new staff, residents, medical, and nursing students.
- Initiate emergency nursing measures such as Code Blue and Code Red.
- Provide vacation and temporary relief as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- At least one year of relevant experience as a registered nurse.
- Experience in Med Surg, Telemetry, PCU, ICU, and ED.
- Active state license (we also assist in applying for new licenses!).
- ACLS and BLS certification required.
