Remote Collaborating Physician Opportunity – Indiana (Family Medicine / Primary Care)
We are seeking a Collaborating Physician to provide remote oversight for an established primary care practice in Indiana. The role supports two experienced Family Nurse Practitioners (one full-time and one part-time) in accordance with Indiana collaboration requirements.
This is a low-hour, flexible opportunity ideal for a physician interested in providing clinical collaboration without direct patient care responsibilities.
Practice Overview
The clinic provides a broad range of outpatient services, including:
- Wellness visits
- Sports physicals
- Weight management
- Management of chronic conditions (cardiac, pulmonary, renal, etc.)
- ADHD treatment
- Men’s health services
- Chronic pain management
Responsibilities
The Collaborating Physician will:
- Provide physician collaboration for two Family Nurse Practitioners.
- Review approximately 5–10 patient charts per week (about 5% chart review).
- Be available for occasional clinical guidance or urgent questions.
- Support compliance with Indiana collaboration requirements.
- Participate in periodic documentation review through the TBR platform.
What Is NOT Required
- No on-site visits.
- No direct patient appointments.
- No telehealth consultations with patients.
- No welfare checks or routine phone calls.
- No billing under the physician’s name.
Practice Operations
- NPs have 10+ years of clinical experience and practice with a high level of independence.
- All prescriptions are issued under the NPs’ credentials.
- The clinic follows established compliance protocols, including monitoring for controlled-substance prescribing.
- Business is primarily insurance-based (90–95%).
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Indiana medical license.
- Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care preferred.
- Prior collaborating physician experience is a plus.
- Comfortable supervising Nurse Practitioners remotely.
- Board certification preferred (final state/payer requirement is being verified).
