Remote Spanish Speaking Psychiatrist | TX Licensed
We are looking for an experienced Psychiatric Consultant to support our collaborative care team—primary care providers, patients, and behavioral health care managers. You will provide guidance on medications, treatment strategies, and behavioral health education.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consultation: Provide weekly consultations to behavioral health care managers, focusing on new patients or those not improving. Consultations may be by phone, video, or in person.
- Patient Tracking: Oversee patient caseload status using a registry to track, review, and adjust treatment as needed.
- Treatment Adjustments: Recommend timely treatment adjustments, including medication changes, within 24 hours of consultation.
- Specialized Care Support: Advise on care for patients needing intensive or specialized mental health support.
- Communication: Clearly state limitations of recommendations if the patient is not seen in person, including a disclaimer in EHR notes.
- Ad Hoc Support: Provide prompt responses to urgent and non-urgent consultation requests, coordinating with other consultants for coverage as needed.
Requirements:
- Texas Licensed psychiatrist
- Effective team collaboration skills
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Bilingual to Spanish
Preferred:
- Board-eligible in psychiatry
- Experience in primary care or consultation-liaison psychiatry
