Remote Urgent Care FNPs | Cold & Flu Season Coverage
We are actively seeking Board-Certified Family Medicine Nurse Practitioners to support increased patient demand during the upcoming cold and flu season.
This role is part of a fast-growing practice that values clinician input, team collaboration, and clinical excellence — all with the flexibility of remote care.
Role Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Master’s or Doctoral-level Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program, with prior graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license with maintained Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, in accordance with state requirements
- Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC
- Active multi-state licensure
- Minimum 3+ years post-training experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings
- Experience providing care to newborns through adult populations
- Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records
- Maintain active Medicare status - In good standing with Medicare/Medicaid and not excluded from participation in federal health programs
Day to Day Info:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments during visits, including clinical history review, diagnosis, medication prescription and refills, and wellness counseling
- Operate in a fast-paced environment with 15-minute visits focused on efficient and effective care delivery. While the visits are 15 min total, most visits are completed within 9-12 min; ability to see up to 4-5 pts/hr
- Address acute and chronic conditions such as nasal congestion, rashes, colds, coughs, sore throats, UTIs, eye concerns, allergies, and COVID, DM, HTN, depression/anxiety
- All visits take place through our EMR Athena
- When NP signs in for their shift, patients will flow into their virtual cue. Patients are assigned to NP based on their location (or where licenses are)
- Patients ‘self triage’ and fill out an intake form prior to their call that includes medications, family medical history, current conditions, reason for visit, etc. They also select their preferred pharmacy
Schedule:
- Part Time (20 hours/week)
- Modified Full time (32 hours/week)
- Full Time (40 hours/week)
