Respiratory Therapists | Abilene, TX
Job Summary:
Provide high-quality, compassionate respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple units—including Med-Surg, Intermediate Care (IMC), and Intensive Care (ICU). You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to patient assessments, treatment planning, education, and documentation to optimize respiratory health and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct respiratory care services in Med-Surg, IMC, and ICU settings.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adapt treatments as needed.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory therapy, equipment uses, and care plans.
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation of respiratory care interventions and patient responses.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program credited for preparing respiratory care practitioners.
- Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (CRT or RRT) and licensed to practice in Texas.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Proven experience in an acute care environment; critical care experience needed.
