Shift Nights - 12 Hour
Shift Description 7pm - 7am
URGENT – 13 +week assignments only. Hospital will look at up to 26 weeks
- 36 or 48 hour work week
- OT after 40 hours for 36 hour guarantee
- OT after 48 hours for 48 hour guarantee (No overtime billed until after 48 hours)
- All overtime billed at $10/hour more for Hospital and $9.50/hour for AP.
- Will be asked to be resubmitted to exact unit request after interview approval
- Will NOT accommodate to Block Scheduling
General job duties. Types of procedures required. Types and ages of patients, number of rooms
ICU level of care. Neuro ICU= 16 beds, MICU=12 beds, SICU/ Trauma = 10 beds, CVICU=20 beds. All adult patients. Ventilators, vaso active drips, ventriculostomy, chest tubes, art lines, cvps, Cardiac ICU does CABG’s , valves, heart transplant, LVAD, TAVR’s, and ECMO.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
What equipment is attached to the clinic, x-ray, lab or do they have to send out for these? What hospitals will have privileges if any
Epic is used for charting. Pyxis and omnicell for meds and supplies
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Skills may include anything from Surgical (Ortho, Neuro, CV, etc.) Family Practice, Cardiology, Geriatrics, etc. ICU experience required
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
Is a national certification required? Is a DEA, Prescriptive Authority required?
ACLS/ BLS required
Shift or schedule requirements.
12hr days or 12hour nights
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.
1:2 ratio for majority of ICU patients. Occasionally may have up to 3 patients if low acuity.
Dress Code:
all nursing will wear steele gray scrubs
Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
First week will consist of hospital orientation and Epic training. Second week 2 shifts of orientation with preceptor.
Additional Comments:
We are hiring to help with ICU needs. In the event of low census or needs in the hospital, travelers will be required to float to other areas. Staffing ratio on regular floors is about 1:4
