Skillful Med/Surg Tele RN Needed

Our Chicago-based health system is looking for a registered nurse interested in a med/surge telemetry nurse role. We are very actively seeking registered nurses ready and willing to ensure staff members' health and wellness.

You will be expected to provide professional nursing care to patients of all ages through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Effectively interact with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

 Duties and Responsibilities  
- Be available to work shifts of 8 hours each, 5 Days a week

-Apply and document all elements of the nursing process

-Ensure the highest quality of patient care

-Full working knowledge regarding assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care

-Capable of evaluating, planning and decision

-Accurate mathematical calculations

-Maintains open communication with Clinical Director/Manager, Charge Nurse and/or Administrative Supervisors

-Participates in unit meetings, unit decision making and quality improvement activities

-Competency in ECG, medication administration, restraint and age specific assessment and care

-Follows policies and procedures relating to infection control, safety and disaster and other mandatory programs

-Contributes and assists with the orientation of new personnel

-Provides supervision for ancillary nursing staff

-Demonstrates flexibility with additional duties and assignments

-Organizes work procedures to generate acceptable levels of productivity

-Follows established emergency, infection control and/or universal precautions procedures as required

-Maintains work area and equipment according to standards and policies.

Job Requirements

-BSN preferred
-Med/Surg experience (1+ year)
-RN license State of Illinois
-ECG for healthcare providers
-Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
-AAP/EEO Statement
