Starts Immediately | CCU-Med/Surg Float RN | Contracted Job | Chicago, IL
Our Chicago-based health system is looking for a Registered Nurse interested in a CCU / Med-surg Float role who can promote and restore patient's health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychologicals support to patients, friends and families.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply and document all elements of the nursing process
- Ensure the highest quality of patient care
- Ample knowledge regarding assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care
- Capable of evaluating, planning and decision making
- Precise mathematical calculations
- Maintains open communication with Clinical Director/Manager, Charge Nurse and/or Administrative Supervisors
- Participates in unit meetings, unit decision making and quality improvement activities
- Competency in ECG, medication administration, restraint and age-specific assessment & care
- Follows policies and procedures relating to infection control, safety & disaster and other mandatory programs
- Contributes and assists with the orientation of new personnel
- Provides supervision for ancillary nursing staff
- Demonstrates flexibility with additional duties and assignments
- Organizes work procedures to generate acceptable levels of productivity
- Follows established emergency, infection control and/or universal precaution procedures as required
- Maintains work area and equipment according to standards and policies
Job Requirements:
- BSN preferred
- CCU or ICU experience (1+ year)
- Able and willing to float as med-surg
- RN license State of Illinois
