Our Chicago-based health system is looking for a Registered Nurse interested in a CCU / Med-surg Float role who can promote and restore patient's health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychologicals support to patients, friends and families.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Apply and document all elements of the nursing process
  • Ensure the highest quality of patient care
  • Ample knowledge regarding assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care
  • Capable of evaluating, planning and decision making
  • Precise mathematical calculations
  • Maintains open communication with Clinical Director/Manager, Charge Nurse and/or Administrative Supervisors
  • Participates in unit meetings, unit decision making and quality improvement activities
  • Competency in ECG, medication administration, restraint and age-specific assessment & care
  • Follows policies and procedures relating to infection control, safety & disaster and other mandatory programs
  • Contributes and assists with the orientation of new personnel
  • Provides supervision for ancillary nursing staff
  • Demonstrates flexibility with additional duties and assignments
  • Organizes work procedures to generate acceptable levels of productivity
  • Follows established emergency, infection control and/or universal precaution procedures as required
  • Maintains work area and equipment according to standards and policies 

Job Requirements:

  • BSN preferred
  • CCU or ICU experience (1+ year)
  • Able and willing to float as med-surg
  • RN license State of Illinois

Note: This is a 13 week contracted position
