Supervising Psychiatrist - MD/DO (GA & AL)(Remote)
Position Overview
A growing private practice is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatric Physician (MD/DO) to serve as a Supervising Physician for a Registered Nurse (RN) practice. This is a low-hour, flexible oversight role focused primarily on prescription supervision and clinical collaboration.
We are seeking a physician who is comfortable supervising general psychiatric care across a broad patient population and is not limited to addiction medicine only.
Licensure Requirements
Active Georgia (GA) Medical License – Required
Alabama (AL) License – Strongly Preferred
Physicians with GA license only are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physician supervision for a private practice RN
- Oversee and review psychiatric medication prescribing
- Offer clinical guidance and collaborative support when needed
- Ensure compliance with state supervision and prescribing regulations
- Participate in periodic case reviews and documentation oversight
Clinical Scope
- Broad psychiatric patient population
- Not limited to addiction treatment
- Physician should be comfortable supporting general mental health medication management, including but not limited to:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Mood disorders
- ADHD
- Trauma-related disorders
- Other common psychiatric presentations
Time Commitment
- Estimated 5–10 hours per month
- Flexible scheduling
- Primarily remote oversight
Engagement Type
- Part-Time / Independent Contractor
