Travel Position | MHC Adolescent Social Worker | Asheville, NC
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Mental Health (MHC) Adolescent (ADOL) Social Worker to join our team in Asheville, NC. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in adolescent mental health who is passionate about supporting young individuals through challenging emotional and behavioral issues.
As a Travel MHC ADOL Social Worker, you will provide comprehensive social work services to adolescents in a clinical or community-based setting. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions that promote mental wellness and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for adolescent patients
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to adolescents and their families
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Advocate for patients and connect them with community resources and support services
- Educate families on coping strategies, mental health conditions, and treatment options
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- Active Social Worker license (LCSW, LMSW, or equivalent) in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in social work, adolescent mental health, or behavioral health settings
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a travel assignment environment
