Travel Position | Radiologic Technologist | Asheville, NC
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team in Asheville, NC. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, including X-rays, CT scans, and other radiologic procedures, according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Prepare and position patients accurately for imaging studies while ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Analyze and evaluate images for quality and report findings to the radiologist as needed.
- Follow radiation safety protocols and adhere to HIPAA and hospital regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Assist in training new staff or students as required.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- 2+ years of radiologic technology experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or equivalent.
- Valid State Radiologic Technologist license (NC preferred).
- Strong knowledge of imaging equipment, techniques, and safety standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
