Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department in Asheville, NC. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in emergency or acute care nursing and the ability to provide high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care to individuals presenting with urgent, acute, or emergent medical conditions.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, triage, and prioritize care according to clinical urgency.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per hospital protocols and physician orders.
Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and respond appropriately.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and emergency department protocols.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
2+ years of Emergency Department, Critical Care, or Acute Care experience.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or compact license eligible).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while maintaining quality care.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education skills.
