Travel Position | Registered Nurse - Emergency Department | Brownsville, TX
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department to join our team in Brownsville, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in emergency or acute care nursing and the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to individuals with acute and emergent medical conditions.
- Perform triage assessments and prioritize patients based on severity of condition.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed.
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records.
- Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- 1+ year of Emergency Department, Critical Care, or Acute Care experience.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (or compact license eligible).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
