Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department to join our team in Brownsville, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in emergency or acute care nursing and the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to individuals with acute and emergent medical conditions.
  • Perform triage assessments and prioritize patients based on severity of condition.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • 1+ year of Emergency Department, Critical Care, or Acute Care experience.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (or compact license eligible).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
