Job Summary:

Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where you will play a vital role in supporting women throughout the childbirth process. With at least 2 years of experience, you will provide comprehensive care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including vital signs and fetal heart rate.
  • Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and emergency procedures.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed.
  • Educate and support patients and their families throughout the childbirth process.
  • Recognize and respond to complications or emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • 2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire (or compact license eligible).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
  • Strong clinical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
