Travel Position | Registered Nurse - NVICU | Nashville, TN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Travel RN to provide expert care in the Neurovascular Intensive Care Unit (NVICU). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience and be proficient in managing patients with neurological and vascular conditions such as stroke, aneurysm, intracranial hemorrhage, or other neurocritical emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to critically ill neurovascular patients.
- Monitor and assess neurological status, vital signs, and hemodynamic parameters.
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform specialized neurovascular procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and specialists to implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and recovery processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly to neurocritical emergencies, including stroke protocols and acute neurological changes.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted RN license in [State of assignment].
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, with neurovascular experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, assessment skills, and ability to respond in emergencies.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient/family education skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new hospital environments and protocols.
