Travel Position | Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal/Pediatrics | Asheville, NC
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Respiratory Therapist specializing in neonatal and pediatric care in Asheville, NC. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing respiratory care for newborns, infants, and children in acute care settings. This is a travel role offering the opportunity to work in dynamic healthcare environments while delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care for neonatal and pediatric patients.
- Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and airway management.
- Monitor and evaluate patient response to treatments and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
- Educate families and caregivers on respiratory care techniques and equipment use.
- Follow infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies at all times.
- Adapt to various healthcare settings while providing high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Minimum of 2+ years experience in neonatal and pediatric respiratory care.
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice (or eligible for state licensure).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- Strong clinical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to assigned locations.
