Travel Position | Travel Radiation Therapist | Richmond, VA
Job Summary:
Join a leading healthcare team as a Travel Radiation Therapist in Richmond, Virginia! We are seeking a skilled professional with 2+ years of experience in radiation therapy to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions and treatment plans.
- Operate and maintain linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform patient simulations, treatment planning, and precise positioning to ensure accurate delivery.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, reporting changes to the oncology team.
- Educate patients and families on treatment procedures, side effects, and supportive care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records in compliance with facility protocols and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with oncologists, physicists, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy, Radiologic Sciences, or a related field.
- Valid ARRT Radiation Therapist certification/license.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in radiation therapy.
- State licensure in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain).
- Strong technical, analytical, and patient care skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability for travel assignments.
