Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
- Assist in labor and delivery procedures, including cesarean sections.
- Educate and support expectant mothers and their families.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- State nursing license required/registration where applicable.
- 2+ years of labor and delivery nursing experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment.
- BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS preferred.
