Responsibilities:

  • Provide competent health care to patients and families, ensuring adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of care.
  • Deliver health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
  • Act as a preceptor and support the development of other staff and healthcare students.
  • Provide leadership for initiatives aimed at improving the quality of care or clinical outcomes.
  • Assist in the development of departmental standing orders under the guidance of the Nursing Supervisor/coordinator.
  • Manage triage responsibilities for high-risk and low-risk pregnant women, well women, and acute conditions using obstetrical and gynecological protocols.
  • Assist with moderately complex procedures and administer chemotherapeutic agents and blood products.
  • Perform diagnostic testing to assess fetal well-being in collaboration with physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Act as a resource for CMA and LPN staff, providing comprehensive prenatal and breastfeeding education
  • Demonstrate excellence in customer service, team building, and problem-solving abilities

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as OB RN
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • IL RN State license
