The APRN is responsible for assisting primary care physicians within the established limits and guidelines set forth by the Board of Medicine, Department of Professional Regulation, State of Florida. The APRN will dedicate at least 50% of their time to providing medical services to clinic patients during operational hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development, execution, and periodic review of written policies governing clinic services.
  • Provide medical services in accordance with established policies.
  • Arrange for or refer patients to necessary services not provided at the clinic.
  • Ensure maintenance and updating of adequate patient records, especially when patients are referred.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director in conducting periodic reviews of at least 10% of patient health records.
  • Ensure the countersignature of all patient records within one week of treatment.

Clinical Duties:

  • Provide direct patient primary care and formulate individualized care plans based on patient needs and responses.
  • Evaluate patient progress toward expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate care and provide management to other team members for a defined group of patients.
  • Communicate pertinent information about patient condition or concerns to other healthcare team members.
  • Participate actively in quality improvement activities and initiatives.
  • Contribute to a patient-centered and team-based approach to health management and disease prevention.
  • Work closely with and, when appropriate, direct the care team to ensure a high-quality, timely, patient-centered approach to care.

Supervision and Compensation:

The APRN will work under the direct supervision of the Medical Director (physician).

Salary range: $95k - $110k
