Urgently Hiring Physician Assistants - Orthopedic across several locations | Tampa | Florida
This facility is a busy Orthopedic practice dedicated to individualized treatment for relief of pain associated with auto accidents, slip and falls, work injuries, sport injuries and other orthopedic conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including DOT exams, Pre-Op, EKG, and venipuncture
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Perform intermuscular Injections
- Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures and promote healthy lifestyle choices
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures
- Administer IV infusions and perform other advanced medical procedures as necessary
Requirements:
- Licensed to actively practice in the state of Florida as a Physician Assistant
- Active DEA
- Proficient in pain management techniques and able to provide appropriate interventions for pain relief
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ability to effectively communicate with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
- Willing to get certified for DOT and other Occupational Health
- Skilled in aseptic technique to ensure infection control during medical procedures
- Familiarity with medical imaging modalities such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs for diagnostic purposes
- Excellent patient assessment skills to identify health concerns and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Competent in providing services across a wide range of medical conditions and age groups
- Willing to learn Intra-articular Injections
- Proficient in administering IV infusions safely and accurately
- Knowledge of public health principles and ability to promote health education and disease prevention initiatives
