Holy Cross Medical Group (HCMG) and Holy Cross Hospital have an excellent opportunity for fellowship trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Vascular Neurology physician to replace an existing physician located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
This hospital based, multi-disciplinary neuroscience practice is located on the campus of Holy Cross Hospital. The 15,000 ft2 facility is home to 22 exam rooms, four procedure rooms, clinical research, social services, and speech pathology. The practice has an on-going relationship with Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. This collaboration allows for integrated care for patients who live in Boston and visit Florida on a regular basis. Protocols and clinical pathways are shared between the two organizations in order to ensure continuity of care.
The practice specializes in Neurology, Neurosurgery and Spine and Pain Management; with sub-specialty Neurology coverage including: Stroke, Neurodegenerative, ALS, MS, Parkinson's disease, Movement Disorders, Botox, and Epilepsy. In addition, the practice is able to conduct Neuro Genetic testing as applicable. There are currently 17 physicians in this practice including ten Neurologists, a Neurosurgeon, a Spine Surgeon, a Neurointensivist, a Physiatrist, a Neurointerventional Radiologist and two Spine and Pain Management Interventionists. The number of patients seen daily within the clinic average 110 – 125.
This schedule for this full time opportunity includes 12 hour shifts and a call schedule of 1:3. The selected physician will work primarily in the hospital as a neuro-hospitalist but will have clinic responsibilities as well. They will be a key physician leader within the comprehensive stroke team which includes: a Neuro lnterventional Radiologist, Neurocritical Care lntensivist and a seasoned Stroke Coordinator. The stroke program has been recognized by the American Heart/Stroke Association as a Gold Plus center since 2012 and has also received Target Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus certification since 2014. In 2018 the program achieved Thrombectomy Capable Center Accreditation by the Joint Commission.
Preference will be shown to candidates who possess two or more years of practice experience; however, candidates who have recently completed training are encouraged to apply.
This is a phenomenal opportunity for a Vascular Neurologist to build a practice within an extremely busy multi-disciplinary neuroscience institute within Holy Cross Medical Group.
