Hayward, WI – Hayward Memorial Hospital- Spencer Iowa.
block of shifts must include weekends
Role- MD ER Physician
Board Certification Requirement- board certified – FP or EM boarded or with experience.
Annual volume-7500 ED/4500 UC
Trauma Level- 4
Shift times- 8A-8P or 8P-8A
MLP overlap- 2nd coverage for Urgent care
EMR- Essentia Epic
Hospital privileges – no temps – depending on history 60-90 days credentialing
Max shift length- 24 hours
Requirements: ACLS, PALS, CALS OR ATLS
About:
Our 25 bed Critical Access Hospital is connected to medical clinics and a long term care center. The medical campus is also home to an assisted living facility that is conncected to the hospital and clinics.
Physicians
There are 18 physicians on the active medical staff and they have immediate contact with specialists in area hospitals for consultation. The hospital and nursing home employ over 300 people.
Emergency Services
The Emergency Department is staffed by physicians and nurses 24 hours-a-day, along with additional personnel at designated times. Air and ground ambulances are availabe for those needing a higher level of care. Highly skilled physicians and medical professionals from larger hospitals across the nation are attracted to this area by the quality of life they find here.

The hospital was designed to aid in the restoration of health. Large private rooms support patient privacy. Soft colors, large windows with nature views and local art work help bring peace of mind.
