Job Description:
We are on the look out for X Ray techs to start asap at Brooklyn, NY!
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct x-ray examinations in accordance with the highest standard of safety, courtesy, morality, and privacy.
- Responsible for the care of the patient during the performance of the x-ray examination in accordance with medical staff instructions.
- Render emergency assistance if needed.
- Applying proper patient identification and labeling of images using indelible markers. Acquires x-ray images as ordered and indicated on the Radiology Information System (RIS) or as on the printed Control sheet.
- Process high quality diagnostic images so Radiologist can use them to make clinical diagnosis for continuation of patient care.
- Accurately enter patient identifying information into RIS/PACS/Modality.
- Provide adequate radiation protection measures for patients.
- Maintain imaging room in clean, neat condition.
- Notify Supervisors and co-workers of equipment issues, maintenance needs that may contribute to reduction in safety of the patient or other hospital employees.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- NY state license for X-Ray technology
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate from an X-Ray technologist program
